We love collecting books on traditional Scandinavian folk arts. While working and studying in Telemark, Norway at a folk art academy we saw the fabulous Johan Meyer's series of 16 or so books; Fortids Kunst i Norges Bygder. Historically Telemark's log buildings were often ornamented with fabulous wood carving designs on over entries or around doorways. The Swallow Post mug was inspired by carved pillars of a covered porch,  beloved to swallows as a sheltered spot to raise their young. Our 8 oz. Swallow Post mugs are 2.75" height, 3.75" wide at base with a carved Telemark design.
