Lucy designed this piece from her studies of traditional Shibori textiles. The rounded, open rectangle pattern is subtly varied with a hand-incised line, which supports the artisan quality our wheel-thrown pottery. After the piece is bisque-fired, Lucy adds cobalt stain which reads as indigo on the lighter blue glaze that we use for this piece. This is a limited edition for collectors of original contemporary ceramics. Great on a table display piece, but we also add a removable wire on the back so that it can hang on a sturdy wall. 14.5" diameter, 2 3/4" depth.
