Gene has been studying rock carvings of animals and hunters for years and applying them to his work. He calls this new series Petroglyphs. The vases are burnished clay on the outside, oatmeal glaze inside and on the slab formed sculptural rim at the top. The smaller vase is around 8" tall and 4.5" in width. The large vase is 10.5" height and 6" in width.
