Last spring Lucy asked Gene to make a series of substantial bowls for her to treat like a canvas using glazes on bisqueware . The transition from winter to summer brings the intense observations of sky, rivers, trees and moons she sees in the Lac qui Parle State Park and around the Tokheim Stoneware farm place. The larger of these two bowls attempted clouds reflecting along a river bank in a blue sky. The smaller one references the many full moons she has seen driving across the Milan Bridge watching the moon trail on both sides of the water.
Smaller bowl is 9" diameter by 3" height
Larger bowl 10" diameter by 4" height
