Kiln Openings are the biggest days at Tokheim Stoneware. Gene unbricks the still hot kiln around 5 am to let it start cooling and takes a few pieces out, tense but excited to see how they turned out. Assistants Morgan and Abby arrive to help unload all the hot new pots. We all get a look and then at a festive breakfast we debrief on the results, interested to hear each others' feedback.
