We loved how the Norwegians and Sami used reindeer horn for utensils decorated with a incised graphics like scrimshaw. Gene made a few of these in porcelain with cobalt stain with carved wood stoppers and leather hangers as we were preparing to leave for our folk art studies in Rauland. They have a haunting beauty of dreams about them.
